Luann de Lesseps Shares Her Holiday Hostessing Must-Haves

People.com:
Luann de Lesseps has a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to surviving the holidays.

The Real Housewives of New York City star is spending Thanksgiving with family in her Connecticut hometown. But right before the holiday, she’s hosting a feast of her own at her new home in Sag Harbor, New York, a former whaling captain’s house.

And while her guests can expect turkey-filled festivities —”It’s all about eating and I’m a foodie,” de Lesseps, 52, tells architecturaldigest.com — don’t expect a traditional dining setup. “I love people moving around; I hate to seat people,” she says. “It’s nice to have buffets where people can mix and mingle and sit where they want.”

As for who’s invited, the newly single reality star has the perfect candidate for wing woman in mind: her costar Dorinda Medley. “She’s the second life of the party,” she explains (herself being number one). “Dorinda is good at hosting. Dorinda you can plop right in the middle and she’s comfortable and happy with that.”

De Lesseps doesn’t reveal her guest list, but she does make note of who’s not invited. The bedding designer will gladly boot guests who “arrive late, are not helpful and get drunk.”
