'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Likely To Be in Limbo Until Teresa Giudice Gets Out of Prison

NYDailyNews.com:
The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is going to jail along with Teresa Giudice.

A source close to the production tells Confidenti@l that Bravo expects to shelve the hit show until the future Jersey jailbirdgets out of the slammer.

While other members of the cast have been anxiously waiting for seventh-season contracts to drop on their doorsteps, a network insider tells us that “there is zero moving forward anytime soon for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey.’ ”

“If we’re doing a season seven, Teresa will be part of it,” the source says. “We would shoot it when she’s out of jail.”

With the disgraced reality star set to report to federal prison in Danbury, Conn., for 15 months starting Jan. 5, it could be spring 2016 before Giudice is back in front of the cameras. However, Bravo insiders are not expecting the mother of four, who pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud, to serve her full term.

“The season for ‘Housewives’ is not consistent in the way that the other shows are, like ‘OK, episode one is always Jan. 1’ or whatever,” explained the insider, “ ‘Real Housewives of New York’ missed an entire year before we brought it back. It’s not that we have to do it within a certain amount of time. We do it when we know it’s right and when we want to do it.”

“The network has not made any decision on how we’re moving forward with (‘The Real Housewives Of New Jersey’),” the source added. “We have nothing going forward, we have no (footage) in the can, nothing that we’re shooting right now.

“We’re completely figuring out what to do with the show. We can’t really figure it out until we see what’s going to happen with her and the rest of the cast,” added the source, who insisted that Bravo doesn’t plan to shoot scenes with Giudice before she dons her orange jumpsuit.
