Porsha Williams Demoted To 'Friend of the Housewives', Says She Was 'Blindsided' By News

Hey, as anybody with in-depth knowledge of reality-TV knows, the minute your head gets too big and you start to think that you're bigger than the show they'll find someone to replace you in a heartbeat. Then too, as the old saying goes: 'never bite the hand that feeds you':
The cast shakeup for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was arguably the biggest entertainment news of the day. If you didn’t already know, Porsha Williams is no longer holding a peach — meaning she has been demoted to a ‘friend of the housewives’ — and has been replaced by Claudia Jordan.

Joining Porsha as a ‘friend of the housewives’ is Demetria McKinney. NeNe, Cynthia, Kenya, Kandi, and Phaedra are all back holding their peaches for another season.

As to why Porsha got demoted, well … sources say it was because of her attitude.

According to our sources, Bravo had intended Williams to be a main cast member this season … even after her monumental fight with Kenya Moore.

But when filming began, we’re told Bravo tried to get Williams and Moore to talk things out, but Williams nearly fought her again. Our sources say Williams also went after new cast member Claudia Jordan.

Temper issues aside, we’re told Williams also kept the show at arm’s length and wouldn’t reveal certain details of her personal life … leaving producers with no story to tell.

Demetria McKinney is also recurring as a “friend” on the show, but our sources say the original plan was to have McKinney on full-time and Jordan on part-time … but Jordan did so well, they flip-flopped them.

According to Porsha, she was “blindsided” by her demotion and says that she’s only capable of being herself because “portraying anything else, would not be genuine nor honest.“

Porsha seems to get blindsided a lot, doesn’t she?
